Gahh!

Oh my. Oh my, oh my.

I still think Hollywood needs to get over itself, but once in a while, they shock me. It's a rare occurance, of course.

Anyway.
I just got back from seeing The Phantom of the Opera.
*thud*

Okay. If they will get Andrew Lloyd Webber in for /every/ musical they move to movie form, and LISTEN to the guy, like they very clearly did here?! I might just have to take back about half the nasty things I say about them.
Gorgeous!
True to the soundtrack, (I have /never/ seen the musical - but I have the soundtrack. I /wish/ I could have seen Michael Crawford sing as the Phantom, but I will take what I can get.) emotional, (I cried. I have /never/ cried at a movie. EVER. I did for this one.) ... LOUD ... *wry grin* Well, obviously - they always have the sound cranked at the theatre...
One DVD I am definitely going to get my hands on when it comes out.

My head is /still/ ringing, it was ringing all the way home - wow.
Even driving home through pea soup fog (I swore I was going to come around a corner and find myself face to face with a skeleton or something in Ravenloft.. it was THAT thick..)I couldn't get it out of my head. And I couldn't /see/ more than three car-lengths in front of me. (Less, in town - I swear, in those conditions, the streetlights are more harm than help...)

Gorgeous. I now have some understanding for the Don Juan Triumphant thing - I never understood that duet... such intimacy. And in public! We are impressed! *grins*
No, I am /not/ going to explain. You wanna know? you go see it.

... Gah. Head still ringing - I have Angel of Music stuck in my head, and I haven't got the range to SING it! Wah! (Actually, I probably do, but I couldn't hope to do it on key... unless I sing the Phantom's part. Yes. I can. Don't look at me in that tone of voice. ;p )

I'm going to bed now. Or something. Hm. Tea. Feh. Or something. .. Good night.
