HRrrmmmn.

*sighs* Did a waterchange in the divided tank - one of the boys is starting to /seriously/ crown. This is good - I'd thought I didn't have any crowntails. ^^

I have a couple of serious deltas for sure, and that one obvious crowntail.. he's pretty, too. ^^

The mollies are amusing - the /big/ male isn't really silver - he's kind of creamy metallic yellow and he's got a /serious/ dorsal fin, nearly sail-fin type. The poor girls.. Heh. I think I'm going to be a little more careful when I get the blacks..

Oo. Found something fascinating on CN the other night. Wolf's Rain. I've only caught a couple of eps, and the plot is kind of lacking.. but this makes up for some of it.
Having missed a lot of the beginning means I have a limited idea of what's going on, but.. Heh. I'm interested, so far. ^^
That, btw is a screen-shot I got off of this site.
The series is kind of weird, but no worse than anything /else/ I've seen.. ^.~

I've got another few pics to scan, and a gallery to clean out - might want to get your votes in /quick/! ^.~

Bleh.

Okay. I got some of it in, anyways..

I'm going to have to go through and remove some stuff though, before I run completely out of space. O.o

Anyway, updates in the Peanut Gallery and the Miscellanious Gallery.

And poked the Offerings box to the right...

It's been a slow day. ^.~

Well, that settles it. What 'it' is, I don't know..

I got bored and filled out my blogger profile. I don't know how one finds that, but it's there, if anyone should get curious. (Why you'd get curious, I don't know..)

Oh. Before I forget... I'm going to enter some art contests in the 'local' fairs (State fair, naturally held in the Rat's Nest that is Salem OR, and the Washington County Fair, held in Hillsboro.. I'd do the Yamhill County Fair as well, but I can't find any information on them ...) and I figured I'd poll my visitors for their favorite pics.

Comcast's 'polling booth' is a disaster. I think I could come up with better on my own - and that's keeping in mind that I have very little form-html experience.. I think I'll go find something that /isn't/ run by Comcast.

.. doesn't LJ have a polling booth? I thought Blogger did, but I can't find it..

There's some new stuff in the works too - the coloured dragon-whatever has been scanned and suitably cleaned up. There's also Maeva being cute (I /still/ want to know who spiked her wine..) Sarejas being an arrogant ass (well, that seems to be his default setting..) another of my frenetic motion drawings (well, actually, more like someone having a good time on the dance-floor..) another take on the Thorne-persona (should that be 'purr-sona'? Eh. Whatever. ^.~) a weird fae critter getting ready to do .. something, and Xanthi getting ready to pounce. Pounce on /what/, I don't know and am afraid to ask..
Oh, and there's the 'weird shit' sketch I did last night.. I'm not entirely sure what's up with that one, but I like it anyway. ^.^

I also discovered that I'm coming near to using up all of my web-space! That's the first time /ever/ that I've done that... it's like breaking the history box in Rondak's.. ^^

Bleh. I knew I'd forgotten one ...

Shard's now linked in the Peanut Gallery.
And in case anyone's wondering - that dress is open down to the waist, closed from there, and then opens again from just midthigh all the way down to the bottom hem. A lot more freedom of movement than there appears to be. ^.~

I like the style, but I'm not tall enough to carry it properly.

I got into it with the hi-liters again. I shouldn't be allowed to do that, but it's a lot of fun. I don't know what I'm going to do with the naked result, though.

I've got some stuff I need to scan, I guess. ^^

Hrf.

Grah.
I could cheerfully strangle some kids. Actually, no - better to go to the source and strangle /that/. If I can find it.

The town I call home for the moment has a festival every year - and a parade. The last couple of years, I was in that parade, dancing. This year, I took pictures - or tried to. Ever tried to take pictures when there are ill-mannered /brats/ running around, scrabbling for candy and nearly getting run over?
*grumble* Trust me, it ain't easy. We'll see if I got anything worth the trouble..
The odd thing - I bumped into some people I used to be cordial enemies with - within my age group, for the most part. Married, with kids. Well, with kids, anyway - I'm only assuming the 'married' part.
I'm a suspicious soul - I have a very clear memory of these people making my existance unpleasant - but they actually seem to have /matured/ a hair. Must have been all the waking up at two AM to deal with fussy brats....
Heh. Oh well - they're a lot easier to avoid now than they used to be. ^^

Anyway - what else?
Ai - this was funny. Omega Syndrome. It generally is - I mean, what's not to like about a guy who goes around with a Green Knight and a flying cow? Cow-god. Excuse me. ^^
Anyway - the current latest strip amused me. Thought I'd share. ^^

Ah - last, but not least..
Got this from Joules' blog - neat, eh? That's this site..

Fish are alive - we're up to 'maintainance' now - although I have another ten gallon tank I'm hunting space for - going to try black lyre-tails, or maybe dragon-tail /swordfish/ in that one..

Oh hey - an update!

Siaan, Syri and N'yati are all in the Peanut Gallery.
Had a wild hare and did Andi's newest oddball - the paladin Rickard. No, he is /not/ a knight in shining armour. ^.~
More like a knight in a burlap sack.. *ducks!* ah well. He's in the Commission Gallery anyway. ^^

Sort of working on a group mess to celebrate having over three hundred visitors. I think I need a bigger sheet of paper... *grins*

Might do Joule's suggestion too - just for the hell of it.

Cleared 300!

.. Now what do I do?
Well, I wanted to commemorate the occasion, but I don't know what to commemorate it with, exactly.
Anybody got any ideas? I wanna do a pic, but I dunno what to draw...
I considered doing a group shot of all my characters (RPG characters... probably including the Vampire group) ... I'm sort of working on that, but maybe there's something
else that someone'd like to see? Keeping in mind that my /landscapes/ are rarely all that great.. ^^

Brains on random rewind, here.. which, considering the state of my mind, is probably not good. ^.~

Did a sketch of Shard being gothic and badass - and cheerfully horrifying people. Which she's good at. /Still/ have Siaan, Syri being a wretched tease on a intricately carved piece of furniture (Valkyrie ain't the only one getting into the neat furniture - although I skipped the background on this one..) and .. whatever that other one was that I've now forgotten about. Obviously.

By the way - anyone know about any online fantasy 'zines taking submissions? I know about Sabledrake Magazine - but I'm sure there are others out there, and I'd sort of like to try offering some of my stuff.. meep, shiver, cringe.. O.o
Or, for that matter, any paper 'zines anyone can recommend? Nothin' major, like Dragon magazine - I'm good, I guess, but I'm not that confident! ^^

*chuckles*

Mental note. Do /not/ push enter key on Title entry bar.

Anyway - finished and /coloured/ a sketch of Aysel.. One of the player-boggling type. ^^
Got some other stuff on the backlog, but I wanted to finish this one - and yes, I'll post it.
Just don't drool on the keyboard, okay? I'd hate for someone to accidentally short out their comp ...

Wrhuf.

Well, I've got a house to sit for two weeks. Technically, a house, two cats and a pair of gerbils. *blink*
Hey, I'm being paid. I'll take it. ^^

Fish. Fish are doing okay. I got nuts and bought some more plants today and dumped them in the tank - might have to go get more.
One of the female mollies /did/ kick the can - no surprises, really. No, /not/ because my tank is overcrowded - it can't be /that/ bad, or I'd've lost something sooner - like Wobbly, or one of the female bettas. However, the other one seems okay, she has an appetite, of sorts..
We're up to a water change.

Website. I said I'd post Shimmer's new history (I have two versions of the same character. Basically the same - the second just has more detail. This is /not/ unusual..) and I've got a small bunch of new sketches to post.

How evil are you?

*snerk!* Oh yeah... I have days like that. Definitely. ^^

I'm going to go and find something to eat - I had french toast (with ketchup!) for lunch, and nothing else... I'm /hungry/. Midnight snack, anyone? Heh.

Rrrrr!

*grumble* *kicks Opera*

Never buying fish from PetCo ever again.
/NOT/ impressed with their service. Not impressed with their employees, and DEFINITELY not impressed with their so-called 'experts'.
Bad enough they had dead fish - obviously dead, mind you - in the tanks. Bad enough the person in the area /walked away/ when I mentioned it to him.
Worse still when I decide to buy a couple of fish anyway (couple of female mollies - we'll try this breeding thing..) the silly bint tells me (after I answered her question about my tank and how many fish I had to begin with.. truthfully) that I'll have too many fish in the tank if I add two more.
I know this. THAT is why I am going to remove a bunch of them. (female bettas are coming out of that tank - I'll take 'em downstairs, if I have to..) However, even after I told her that they could /keep/ their 15 day gaurantee (If you lose a fish within that time, they'll replace it. Free.) she had to call their 'expert'. (WHY wasn't this 'expert' on the floor, minding his tanks? *shakes head*)
Then she tells me, okay, I'll sell you the fish, but we can't gaurantee them. Rrrrr. Fine.

Then I find out she doesn't even know the difference between male and female livebearers. I nearly told her to give ME the net, and I'd catch my own damn fish. I was kind. I showed her the difference, instead.

Phf. Ain't going back. I do /not/ need to be lectured about keeping fish by a DOG person who probably can't tell the difference between corydoras julii and corydoras sterbai - and probably hasn't got a clue about raising fish, (Not that I do, but I'm going to try it anyway, and if I lose a few - well, thems the breaks..) and probably doesn't have a tank at home anyway.

Bleh. Chain petstores. Bleh. I want fish, I'll go to Kraemers - the lady there knows her shit. Or to the Cabana - their fish guy has a clue, and even the guy who keeps the marine tanks and doesn't know freshwater fish has three quarters of a brain. ^^

Got some more sketches to scan - which means another backlog in a few days, I guess. That oughta amuse the masses - the ones not bored stupid by my fish-difficulties. ^^

Anyone interested in the Venus Transit?
http://www.astronomy.no - live feed from here, and probably still pics later. ^^

Got Krysse, Maeva, Maria and the link to the contest entry (No, I didn't win. Heh. Liked the pic that /did/ win, though. ^^) into the variously appropriate places.

Will do Siaan, Shimmer and N'yati tomorrow. Siaan is a bit of a project - there's a lot of her all on that one little page.....

Got yet another backlog of sketches to scan - including an ink&highlighter version of Maria to amuse Lutra with.
btw, highlighters do not come in 'olive' - I'll have to do a mite bit of tweaking with Corel...

Also, Maeva being a brat, Krysse standing around existing and daring anyone to come annoy her, Shimmer showing off her magical toys (I /was/ going to say goodies, but I /know/ someone'll get the wrong idea.. ^^) N'yati chasing something and some other stuff I can't remember...

So when I get around to uploading, there'll be a lot of new piccies. ^^

Water
Your element is Water: Understanding, intelligent,
quiet and calm. You know who you are and no one
can change that. Usually quiet but only because
your listening, don't let anyone think you
haven't got an opinion! Your not quiet because
your shy or sad, your usually quiet because
your thinking. Your answers are well planned
and helpful so people generally seek your
advice. Your the perfect balance between
solitary and outgoing. But sometimes you need a
little time to yourself to sort out your
emotions and figure things out. You understand
the phrase 'sticks and stone' and rarely let
things get to you, whats that important for you
to have to get so upset over? You know what you
want out of life but are simply taking your
time and enjoying things. To you your life is
fine as it is, you can always change things
later if your not happy.

Lotta off again on again projects - mostly though, I've had my free time taken up with the novelty of an empty house during the day.
Finally got a chance to see the Last Samurai, with Tom Cruise. Okay - nevermind that most of the guys were my idea of *drool*, Cruise looked /human/ for a change, (must have been the face fuzz - he should retain it..) and I damn near /did/ drool on the one doing most of the archery.
I'd recommend this - even if it's total fantasy, it was beautiful. Believable, emotional, evocative and even a little symbolic. Rare, these days. Oh, sure, it had it's limits, but I think I'd have to watch it again to catch most of them. Rather enjoyed the music, too - but then, I /like/ Hans Zimmer, after several hearings.
Speaking of H. Zimmer - rent Spirit sometime. Like Black Beauty (the book..) the whole movie is told from the horse's point of view - and the horses don't /speak/. (They have eyebrows, and human eyes, but they don't speak. Well, can't have /everything/...) And that was a good story too, even considering that I'm /very/ hard on Disney films as a rule...

Anyway, I'll get back to work on the webpages pretty soon...
